The amount of money you're getting could actually help you become a homeowner in conjunction with a VA loan!
VA loans are ๐ฏ financing however you do still have some out of pocket costs such as:
Escrow Deposit. The escrow deposit is usually around 1% of the home's purchase price. But this is negotiable and $500-$1000 is common in our coverage areas.
Home inspections. Depending on the home inspections you would like to do, the inspector that you use, or what is required for VA...these are around $300-$625.
Appraisal. Depending on what appraiser your lender uses this is around $600.
First year home owners insurance. Lots of factors here, but sometimes this can be worked into your loan to avoid the out of pocket expense.
